Ms. Sara Thornsberry

Counselor

Serving students in 9th and 10th grades.

I am Sara Thornsberry, school counselor for the 9th and 10th graders at North Bullitt High School. I love listening to audiobooks, journaling, going to concerts, and trail riding. I am passionate, open-minded, and creative. Three really awesome kids-Paisley, Rhett, & Briggs-call me mom. My family lives in Shepherdsville where my two oldest attend Cedar Grove Elementary. We recently traveled to Disney and Universal Studios. It was super hot, but super fun!

I started teaching in 2011 at Crossroads Elementary. Since then, I have served as a school counselor at an early learning center and a K-12 alternative school, and most recently I served as the MTSS Coach at Zoneton Middle School, where I got the chance to know many of our incoming NBHS students! Before teaching, I earned degrees in Elementary Education and School Counseling from Western Kentucky University and later got my Ed.S. in School Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands.

I look forward to caring for the 9th and 10th grades as they navigate this exciting time of their lives. I believe that my purpose as a school counselor is to provide the needed support, resources, and nonjudgemental guidance that they need to be academically, socially, and emotionally well.
