THRIVE Celebration

Bullitt County Public Schools' THRIVE Academy recently held its annual celebration and awards event to honor the dedication, growth, and achievements of its new teachers. The THRIVE Academy, in collaboration with its three THRIVE coaches, has provided a supportive environment for these first-year educators to learn and grow throughout the school year.

Among the highlights of the event were the awards presented to outstanding teachers, recognizing their commitment to professional development and student success. Mary Ann Phillips from Old Mill Elementary School & Rachel Finefrock from Hebron Middle School received the THRIVE Award, which honors educators with a strong growth mindset, dedicated to improving their craft through professional learning opportunities.

Tony Perugini from Crossroads Elementary School & Kasey Markwell from Bullitt Central High School were honored with the Heart of Education Award, acknowledging their exemplary service to students and families with kindness, dignity, and respect during their internship.

Alicia Meredith from Mt. Washington Elementary & Jessica Cummings from Overdale Elementary received the Looking Glass Award, recognizing their consistent efforts to reflect on, evaluate, and improve instructional practices to better meet the needs of their students.

The Moving Forward Award was presented to Lauren Coyne from Shepherdsville Elementary School & Lexi Campisano from Freedom Elementary School for their willingness to explore new teaching methods and innovative solutions to challenges in education.

Vanessa Huber from Maryville Elementary School & Olivia Smith from North Bullitt High School were awarded the Hats Off To You Award for their professional versatility and dedication to fulfilling various responsibilities with passion and enthusiasm.

Marissa Bader from Old Mill Elementary School & Haley Burks from Bullitt Central High School received the 3 "P's" Award (Positive, Passionate, Prepared) for consistently demonstrating positivity, passion, and preparedness in their teaching, embodying a "Can Do" attitude and a commitment to lifelong learning.

This event celebrated not only the individual achievements of these teachers but also the collective commitment of all educators in the THRIVE Academy to continuous learning and growth. Congratulations to all the award recipients for their outstanding contributions to Bullitt County Public Schools!
