We loved visiting Old Mill Elementary School last week to see Bullitt East High School students from the Teacher Apprenticeship program in action! 👩‍🏫👨‍🏫 These future educators are gaining real-world experience by partnering with our amazing teachers and making a positive impact in the classroom. They are true champions of commitment, often the first to arrive and the last to leave. 🏫 Master Multitaskers: Did you know that principals handle hundreds of decisions a day, from scheduling and budgeting to student issues? 🚨 BCPS Calendar Update 🚨 Due to the State Board of Elections' decision to allow the use of our schools as early voting sites, all BCPS schools will be closed on October 31st and November 1st for the safety and security of our students and staff. Unfortunately, NTI (Non-Traditional Instruction) cannot be used for these days, as state law only allows NTI in very specific, limited situations. Due to this, we will have to make up these days in our calendar. Check out the graphic here for details on how this year’s school calendar has changed. 🍴🔬 Science + Cooking = Engaging Learning at Bullitt Lick Middle School! Check out the amazing work happening at BLMS through Bite Scized Education, where students are learning science through food-based phenomena! Recently featured on Bite Scized’s Instagram, BLMS students kicked off the year with the flour and flatbread lesson—exploring precision, accuracy, and measurement in a hands-on way that connects science to their everyday lives. We loved getting to host 25 Leadership Members from the Bullitt County Chamber of Commerce at our Area Technology Center, Riverview Opportunity Center, and the JCTC Bullitt County Campus!
