The BCPS Board of Education has officially approved changes to the 2024-25 school calendar:
📅 March 10 – Now a regular school day (was a Bullitt Day)
📅 May 29 – Last day for students
📅 May 30 – Now a Bullitt Day
📅 June 2 – Closing day for staff
With this winter bringing multiple weather and illness disruptions, these adjustments will help ensure the best experience for our students and staff.

Some roads, including Beech Grove, Cedar Grove, and Highway 44, continue to see rising water levels, with additional closures expected.
Students will complete their learning from home, and teachers will provide assignments and support throughout the day. Staff will report to their buildings as usual. Families can find NTI resources on the district website to assist with at-home learning.

BCPS Weather Update:
Due to worsening flooding conditions, particularly on state and county roads in the southwestern part of Bullitt County, we continue to closely monitor road conditions as water levels in certain areas remain a concern. Some roads have deteriorated further since yesterday, and we are assessing conditions as they develop.
Our goal is to make a decision regarding school operations as soon as possible, with an update expected later tonight or early in the morning. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we prioritize the safety of our students, staff, and families. Stay safe, and we will provide updates as soon as we can.

Due to severe flooding in multiple areas of our community, making bus transportation impossible, Monday,February 17th], will be NTI Day #4 for Bullitt County Public Schools. While snow is not an issue, floodwaters have not receded as expected, and conditions could worsen before improving. The Salt River is being closely monitored and is expected to crest this evening at a level above the official flood stage, which may impact additional roadways.
Students will complete their learning from home, and teachers will provide assignments and support throughout the day. Staff will report to their buildings as usual. Families can find NTI resources on the district website to assist with at-home learning.
