We were thrilled to have author George Ella Lyon come to CGES to speak to our 5th graders! She shared stories, and poems, and even sang for us. She encouraged our students to use their voice and understand that history tells a story.

As the end of the school year rapidly approaches, the last day of our elementary transportation support through the YMCA will be next Friday, May 19th. After this date, the YMCA will no longer be able to accept students as a result of cancelled bus routes. We hope that this partnership has been a help to you and your family and we thank our friends at the YMCA for collaborating with us to support student attendance!

Our Kiss The Pig Fundraiser for the 5th Grade Fund raised $630.63 plus and annynomous donation from a community member for $1000! The anonymous donation came with the condition that each staff member in the contest had to kiss the pig! Mr. Whitworth raised the most money with $236.09.
