Our first grade classes are sponsoring a canned food drive to support the LJ Turnaround Center. Students are learning about supporting their community and problem-solving how they can make an impact. They recently met with Jennie Maness from the Turnaround Center to talk about different ways they can make an impact on their community and they have chosen to sponsor a canned food drive to support the LJ community.
See the flyer below for information and start sending in those canned items!

Our lost and found is bursting with unclaimed items. If you believe your child is missing an item please remind them to look for it. Parents may sign in to the office any time if you'd like to look for your child's items.

We've focused on learning today and now it's time for fun. We are always amazed at our students' creativity. These are just a few of their creations.

Have an aspiring artist at home?
Doodle for Google is an annual art contest open to students in grades K-12. Students are invited to create their own Google Doodle for the chance to have it featured on Google.com, as well as win some scholarships and tech packages for them and their schools. If students are interested in participating they can pick up an entry form from Mrs. Burchett or go to doodle4google.com for more information.
