Technical Opportunity Night on February 1st
The Bullitt County Area Technology Center will be hosting a Technical Opportunity Night on Thursday, February 1st at 5:30 PM in the Bullitt Central Media Center.
Bullitt County Public Schools and the Bullitt County Area Technology Center provides students with multiple opportunities to enroll in high-demand, high-wage career pathways. In all of these pathways, students have the opportunity to earn industry recognized certifications and in many they can also earn college dual credit and be connected to local business and industry.
Utilizing the work ready dual credit scholarship students can take two college course in many of these pathways each year of high school and have the tuition paid for. These credits can be applied to an Associates Degree or even a 4-year Bachelors Degree.
The following programs and opportunities will be highlighted at this event along with discussion from post-secondary and relevant Industry partners.

- Construction Carpentry
- Construction Masonry

- Aviation Dual Credit with EKU - (Flight Program) EKU offers Dual Credit classes to Juniors and Seniors
- Aviation Maintenance JCTC
- Students starting as juniors can complete 50% of the college course work in Aviation Maintenance (27 Credit Hours)
- Students starting as seniors can complete 27% of the college course work in Aviation Maintenance (15 Credit Hours)
- Meets on JCTC SW campus of Wednesdays and Thursdays.
- Transportation provided by BCPS.
- Emergency Medical Technician (JCTC)
- Seniors only
- Meets at JCTC Bullitt County Campus every Friday all-day. No transportation provided.
- Year-long EMS 105 Course (6 Credit Hours)
- Ambulance ride-a-longs (10 patient contacts) Allied Healthcare Internship Credit
- Academic and skills program for student to prepare to take national certification exam at end of school year.
- Criminal Justice (Campbellsville)
- Courses meet at ROC transportation provided through ATC shuttles
- Juniors complete 9 credit hours
- Senior complete 6 Credit Hours in Criminal Justice and 6 credit hours in General Psychology and General Sociology
- Diesel Technology (ECTC)
- Automotive T-Ten and Mercedes Accelerate (JCTC)
- KYFame Program
- Jefferson Built

- JCTC also provides spots for BCPS Juniors and Seniors in HVAC, Computerized Machining, and Industrial Maintenance.
