ATTENDANCE MATTERS

Nichols Knights Families,
We had our 2nd celebration of the year yesterday. We always enjoy getting together as a whole school to celebrate our successes. Our 2nd/3rd Grade Class, Mr. Spaulding’s class, won the Attendance Trophy for having the highest attendance for the first month of school! Way to go! During the assembly, we also reviewed our 12 Powerful Words. Many students already know several of the words. Keep up the good work!
After our Celebration, we met in our House Families. We had two new students who spun the wheel to find out which house they would join. Both new students joined Darroch. During House Parties, students worked on learning the movements and song for the 12 Powerful Words. I can’t wait to see each house perform!
BCPS has a new district website this year, and every school also has a new website. There is a lot of great information and it’s easy to find. My favorite feature is the Event Calendar. As events are planned and scheduled, we add them to the Events calendar. Be sure to check it out soon. Nichols Website
