On Tuesday, we held our school wide STEM challenge, coordinated by Mrs. Ferrell! Students made teams of 3 or 4 to discuss, plan, and build. Their goal was to build a tall tower that could hold a rubber duck.

We wanted to share an awesome program with our families because you can earn an associates degree free through the Work Ready Kentucky Scholarship! The WRKS program is available to college students who have not yet earned an associates degree and certain high school students who are enrolled in college coursework. Our Safe Schools visit will be on March 14th. A team from EKU's Kentucky Center for School Safety will be visiting that day and talking with staff, students, and parents. On that day, the team will share the results of our Safe Schools Survey. Please take a few minutes to complete the Parent Survey below.

In case you didn't know, today is National School Resource Officer (SRO) Appreciation Day! Our SROs help bridge gaps between youth and law enforcement here in Bullitt County. Thank you for all that you do!

We want to give a huge shout out to our Nichols Academic Team! This past Saturday, they competed in the district Governor's Cup at Brooks ES. The Future Problem Solvers (FPS) team took home 1st place! In assessments, Garen (5th grade) placed 4th in Math, Declan (5th) placed 2nd in Science, and Jax (4th) placed 3rd in Social Studies! What a great job, team! We are so proud of you!
