We are happy to announce that Ms. Cathy McDonald will be joining our team as our new Volunteer Coordinator!
Ms. Cathy is no stranger to our school—she has been a dedicated volunteer here for many years and currently serves as a caring and reliable bus monitor. Her love for our students, families, and staff shines through in everything she does.

In her new role, Ms. Cathy will help organize, support, and celebrate the many wonderful volunteers who contribute so much to our school community. We are grateful for her continued service and know she will bring enthusiasm, experience, and heart to this position.

Grandparent's lunches are next week at Overdale. We are looking for some volunteers to work the sign in table during lunch times 10:45 to 12:15 Monday thru Thursday. In class, we have also been working hard on spelling and practicing how to use nouns correctly in sentences. I’m so proud of the progress they are making each day! Thank you for your continued support!

This morning, Mrs. Hayes’ class had a special visit from the Principal, who came in to read with us! The students really enjoyed this experience.

We had several students and staff wearing their favorite team shirt! Tomorrow is High Attendance Day, Kona Ice and Put Cancer to Bed wear your pajamas!

Mustang Basketball tryouts are this Friday, 9/12, for 4th and 5th grade boys! Be in the OES gym from 4-5 PM. Any boy selected for the team will need a sports physical on file by the end of Fall Break. Games will be on Sundays at North Bullitt High School this fall. Times TBD. All students selected for the team will be notified on Monday, 9/15.

Today we recognize Mrs. Sego, the heartbeat of our school office.

She handles all of our school’s funds to keep them balanced, orders the supplies that keep our classrooms running, and takes care of countless office tasks each day. She is also the warm smile that greets parents and students, and the caring support our staff and students can always count on.

Her dedication, organization, and kindness make a lasting impact on everyone who walks through our doors. Our school runs smoothly because of her steady hands and caring heart.

🌸 Science in Bloom! 🌸 Today, Mrs. Fitz's 4th graders became plant scientists! 🧪🔍 They carefully dissected flowers to explore and identify the internal and external structures of plants. Students were amazed to see how each part works together to help a plant grow, reproduce, and survive. 🌱✨

🌸 Science in Bloom! 🌸 Today, Mrs. Gibbs 4th graders became plant scientists! 🧪🔍 They carefully dissected flowers to explore and identify the internal and external structures of plants. Students were amazed to see how each part works together to help a plant grow, reproduce, and survive. 🌱✨

We are at 85% of our families that has completed this household income form.

To continue providing free breakfast and lunch for your students, please note that the household income form must be completed annually. This saves you money! Meals at schools without the CEP program cost $1.75 for breakfast and $3.00 for lunch.
