Brantley was a self-directed navigator in the library today. While working to create a website to show the different books that he has read, he took initiative to seek out feedback to make his website better and more visual.

What type of home can withstand a hurricane? Third graders have been learning about design and then worked with peers to create a home that is waterproof and can withstand hurricane type winds. They brought their learning to life today with the use of a leaf blower to gradually simulate wind increasing in force from a level one to a level five.
Did their home survive?

It's the moment you have all been waiting for! Our yearbooks from last year have been delayed due to a printing error. For those who no longer have a child at LJES, the yearbook has been delivered to Bernheim to distribute.
We do have a limited number of extra copies available for purchase if you would like to purchase a copy in our front office. They are $20 each.

Bet Lee and Anastasia are excellent examples of students who maintain a positive outlook each day and model good classroom strategies as they learn. Great job!

Look at the excitement on these faces! Paisley and Emberly created goals for their reading fluency and both met their goals during their time working with Ms. Dixon. Great job!

Our K student are practicing writing letters correctly (top line to the bottom line) and how to use their finger spacing between words. The letter 't' seems simple enough but even those simple letters can be tricky!
