Do you know a child who isn't old enough to be in school? If so, pass on this information for them to participate in an upcoming event presented by the Family Resource Centers.

We love our Bookkeeper!

Check out these awesome 5th graders who have demonstrated proficiency in different Graduate Profile competencies. Great job! We can't wait to see their growth and see others be highlighted throughout the year.

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Check out the information in the flier for ways you can support local organizations this month.

Elmer Kappell from Elcara Photography came today to talk to our fifth graders to begin our opinion writing unit on advertising using photos. What a unique experience and a great way for our students to connect the real-world purpose for their writing.

It's been a great week of learning and Paws-itive Office Referrals. These are our favorite phone calls to make! Keep being great leaders and role models Nevaeh, Ava, Gael, Austin, Alex, and Olivia!

Chromebooks will begin coming home this week! Some of our classes have already begun sending chromebooks home with their students. All others will begin sending them home this week. This is to get students used to the routine of bringing their chromebook home. Your child may not have any work to complete on their chromebook each night, but we still need to have students taking them home regularly so that it is available if the district were to need to call an NTI day for any reason.
Some parents have requested that their child's chromebook be left at school. We really need to send it home regularly as we never know when it might be needed. If you'd prefer, just have your child leave it in their backpack each night so there is no risk to forgetting it or so they are not playing on it at night.

THANK YOU to an amazing community team including CDF Builders, Inc., Lou Ann Moore, and Kim Greenrose Robarts, who put together some very appreciated resources for our students. These community partners donated supplies and money to support LJES students through the Family Resource Center.

Have you connected to your child's classroom through 'Rooms?' If you have not yet connected or if you are having trouble, check out the resource page created by the district to assist. https://www.bullittschools.org/o/bcps/page/rooms

We never get tired of making positive phone calls home. Here's just two of this week's paws-itive office referrals for being respectful and always being a role model to others. Way to go, Cayson and Brentley!

Shout out to our district Digital Literacy Coach, Stefanie Kleinholter, for working with our kindergarten students on how to use their chrome books and Seesaw.

Cub Scout Meeting Tomorrow Night

The best thing about reading is that you can do it anywhere. Today in third grade, we found readers on the floor, readers reclining comfortably, readers under their desk for privacy, and even readers who walked while they read. #justread #readeveryday

We are halfway through day 4 of school and our classrooms are busy! Fundations lessons, rounding to the nearest ten in math, circle time, kindergartners making their name in cereal or string, determining fact or opinion, and indoor recess. It's so good to have students back in the building!

Welcome back to the Bulldog Bark! Check out this year's first edition for updates and information for Lebanon Junction Elementary.

Aisling continued the celebrations at the end of the day. Thanks for being such a great role model for other students!

Can you feel the excitement for this paws-itive office referral? We couldn't be more proud of Eli and his desire to make this a great year.
