Makenzie is a can crushing queen! She worked magic and turned 3 bags in to 1 by smashing them flat. This will make room for many more to be brought in. To warm up she helped gather the cans inside as well. She worked as hard to earn the points to be my helper! We always have a great time!

Mrs. Bieckert had over 20 students participate in chess on Saturday and their accomplishments varied from 25th place to 3rd place. K-1 and K-3 placed top three in the county and many other students earned medals and trophies too for individual. We are so proud of these kids and all their hard work.

🏆✨ Another congratulations to our 4th/5th grade girls basketball team for an undefeated season and winning the City Championship! 🏀 These young athletes showed determination, teamwork, and grit all season long, and we couldn’t be prouder of their accomplishment. 🌟 A special thank you to Schmid Funeral Home for generously donating the first-place medals for our players—your support means the world to us and made this moment even more memorable. The Academic Team had a scrimmage on Wednesday, January 15th with 3 other elementary schools. The results for MWES were looking bright. Below you will see the great accomplishments. Quick Recall 2nd place Social Studies - 2nd- (4 way tie) Ali A & Emerson S Arts & Humanities - 3rd- Braelyn H, 4th- Gracie K Language Arts - 1st- (3 way tie) - Penelope S Math- 1st- (Tie) Luke M & Braelyn H Science- MWES won every position! 1st- Connor H, 2nd- (tie) Gavin K & Calvin B, (no 3rd place because of the tie in 2nd) 4th- (tie) Mason F & Luke M

We finished the week off celebrating Ms. Holm's bunch for their success in the iReady challenge. They were the 4th grade team winning class with the most growth. We couldn't be more proud of their hard work and effort. Fantastic job - the admin loved getting time to reward you!

Mrs. Ecshner's class enjoyed their extra recess for winning the kindergarten grade level growth challenge. We are so proud of their hard work and effort. Our students are the BEST. The admin loved celebrating with them.

This girl was doing an amazing job transitioning to the lunchroom. She had hands to self, a quiet voice and walking feet. She was excelling at all the expectations and earned a "caught you coin" to spend at the book vending machine. Way to go Elaynah!

Yeah- that bus is moving on down the road. It will stop at 45k cans and with all your help with fly right on to 60k cans. The 3rd grade team celebrated this benchmark with pencil toppers provided by our partnership with Tri-Arrows Aluminum. They have helped make collecting cans even more exciting! The 3rd grade says THANKS to all who have supported their contest . We are just under a 1/3 of the way from our goal. Keep bringing in your cans and asking family and friends to save their cans too! #YourCanCounts♻️

It was another great time today celebrating with the Mrs. Perry's class. They were the 3rd grade class with the highest percentage of growth on the iReady assessment. We are so proud of all their hard work and effort!! Sure was a good time for the admin and kiddos!

This smile shows how proud Kellen is for earning a "caught you coin"! He was standing quietly and waiting patiently as he was in line for his bus. So today he had the chance to pick out a book from the book vending machine. Way to go!!

Another great day celebrating with Mrs. Cooper's class. They worked hard to be focused and give their best effort on the iReady assessment. It all paid off as they had the highest percentage of growth. They were so excited and had lots of fun with the admin!

Savannah was doing an amazing job today following the expectations while washing her hands. She was making great choices even when no one was watching. That says so much about her use of self-control to do the right thing!! She should be so proud. And she earned a "caught you coin" to shop in the book vending machine.

Cans! Cans! Thanks to those who remembered to bring them today. With our first day back moving multiple times you have one last opportunity to bring in cans for a prize. Bring cans in tomorrow, Tuesday, January 13th and earn a prize. Hopefully the tarps on the bin will be thawed out. #YourCanCounts

BCPS Family, Our Maintenance Crews have worked hard over the weekend clearing parking lots again and Bullitt County Road Crews have done an amazing job clearing secondary roads! We normally don't make an announcement unless the there is a schedule change... but... after checking road conditions and consulting with the County Road Department and our Transportation department leadership... WE'LL SEE EVERYONE IN PERSON ON A REGULAR SCHEDULE TOMORROW!!!
