WOW We are at 98,000+ minutes of reading logged on Beanstack so far this school year! We are celebrating our readers for last week and also during the month of September anyone who logged 150 minutes was rewarded with a fun lunch in the library event. Let's keep reading, ZMS!

Update: here is the CORRECT boys' basketball roster. Congratulations to these students!!

Save the Date! ZMS would like to honor our local veterans in our Timberwolf community. On Veterans' Day, we will have an assembly and small reception for our veterans. We are creating a slideshow- if a family member of a current ZMS student is a veteran, we want to include you! Please email Mrs. Voight bethany.voight@bullitt.kyschools.us or Mrs. Eskridge ashley.eskridge@bullitt.kyschools.us Include a few photos, time/branch served, and relation to a current ZMS student.

Next week is Red Ribbon Week! ZMS is participating with certain dress themes. Please note next Friday is Halloween and we are allowing costumes, but faces cannot be covered, and face paint cannot be applied at school.

Last week's Beanstack top readers. We are so proud that many of our ZMS Timberwolves are reading more! Encourage your students to check out books on their weekly ZMS library day, read at home, listen to audiobooks, practice with younger siblings, or log into MackinVIA from home. Reading is reading!

From our archery coach Mr. Stewart: Congratulations to these students who made the archery team!! Families of these students, please note there is a mandatory parent meeting, info on the image below.

Ms. Hayes' 8th grade social studies classes completed a project based learning called Colonial Invention Shark Tank! Groups of students researched colonial inventions, worked together to create 3d models, visuals, and a business pitch with marketing. They then presented to a panel of "shark" judges to determine if they would invest in their inventions. Students grew in the graduate profile competencies of productive collaborators, effective communicators and innovative problem solvers. It was an amazing experience for our students! #showupliftuplevelup #bepartofthePACK

Thank you to everyone who came to our Title I Literacy Night! It was great to connect to our Timberwolf families and have fun! Students played games, made bookmarks, shopped vendors, ate cotton candy, shopped the used book swap and heard a band concert! Special shoutout to our staff that organized the event, our PTO, BCPL, and vendors such as Main Book Hook and Kona Ice. #showupliftuplevelup

Our archery coach collaborated with Ms. Roach's PE classes to allow 6th grade students to try out archery! Students were taught about correct positioning, aiming, and more! Thank you Coach Stewart!

Tomorrow is the big day! We hope to see many of our Timberwolf families visit our Title I Literacy Night! Games, Vendors, connect with teachers, and more!
